The purpose of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the Guarangas or Warankas community, one of the Kichwa peoples of Ecuador, one of the poorest communities in the region and one of the most affected by child malnutrition.
This project is an effort to reduce chronic child malnutrition through the safe and consistent distribution of clean drinking water to communities and families living with higher rates of child malnutrition, thereby reducing the incidence of infectious parasitic and gastrointestinal diseases in children.
840 community members from 168 families living in the communities of Las Queseras have clean, potable, and consistent water.
