The purpose of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the Guarangas or Warankas community, one of the Kichwa peoples of Ecuador, one of the poorest communities in the region and one of the most affected by child malnutrition.
This project is an effort to reduce chronic child malnutrition through the safe and consistent distribution of clean drinking water to 290 community members, including 44 families living with higher rates of child malnutrition, thereby reducing the incidence of infectious parasitic and gastrointestinal diseases in children.
A 37% reduction in the rate of chronic child malnutrition in the community through the consumption of safe water.
